(UHQCD) / In commemoration of the 90th anniversary of his birth and the discovery of live recordings from 1973, Donald Byrd’s Blue Note albums from the late mainstream to the New Note era have been carefully selected for reissue on UHQCD for the first time. This is Donald Byrd’s last Blue Note album. It is a superb black pop album featuring Patrice Rushen, David T. Walker, Gary Bartz, and other members of the Meisel Brothers, and is a work that showcases the skill of the Meisel Brothers in creating their sound. The legendary Motown bassist, the late James Jefferson, joins the ""Dance Band.""
